Learn moreMarley Matthews screwed up.
Following a drunken night of pleasure, she decides to abandon her glamorous New York City lifestyle and move to Nebraska with a man who quickly betrays her, leaving her hopeless with no one to turn to.
After driving in the night to escape the life she pursued, Marley ends up stranded in front of a farmhouse owned by the Lanes. Payton Lane, a kind stepmother, takes her in until she gets back on her feet, but her stepson, Hunter, is very reluctant to Marley and does not make it any easier on her when she decides to accept Payton's offer.
But there's more to Hunter than what he projects, and Marley begins to think that she may have found someone even more broken than she was.
Trigger warnings: drunk driving, loss of a loved one, alcohol abuse, mental health/insecurity, body image and toxic family dynamic.
Marie-France Leger, also known as Mar, has been writing ever since she was a little girl and now. Now, she has the privilege to share her stories with the world, all because of her readers. She tends to write books that are centered on reality. Most of her work is realistic fiction based on real people and real events, but she never wants to put herself in a box. She dabbles with fantasy and thrillers, literary fiction, and of course… romance.
Isabelle Turner is an experienced audiobook narrator who enjoys bringing the magic of romance to life. Hailing from the wild forests of the Pacific Northwest, she is a hopeless romantic at heart, drawn to stories of love, passion, and happily ever afters. Besides narrating romance, she loves misty evening walks and sitting by a roaring fire wearing an oversized flannel with a glass of bourbon in her hand.
Nick Mondelli is an accomplished actor, poet, and audiobook narrator from Ohio. He has narrated a wide range of titles, including Willa Cather's My Antonia, Patty Blount's The Way It Hurts, and Paula Garner's Phantom Limbs, which AudioFile Magazine called a sensitive, expressive performance. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he works out of his in-house studio.
